Question of the week: 2/8

Earlier this week, I asked this question on my Instagram story: “What songs hit you with nostalgia every time you listen to them?” Since this was my first time doing this virtual man-on-the-street type of thing, I didn’t expect too much of a response. But when it was all said and done, it actually wasn’t too bad. Here are the answers I got:

“Smashing Pumpkins’ Perfect and Fugees’ Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.”

— Sabra

“Everlong by The Foo Fighters reminds me of hanging out with my dad in the summer.”

— Rhiannon

“Grey Room by Damien Rice.”

— Dylan

“Smile In Your Sleep by Silverstein or Heregoesnothin by Never Shout Never.”

— Kaylyn

“Any song from The Maine from their Can’t Stop Won’t Stop album.”

— Cherri

“Scarlet Begonias.”

— Ciarra (When I followed up with, “I’m assuming the original?” she responded with, “Any and all forms.”)

“Oh gosh, I don’t know. Blink-182 stuff, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bob Marley.”

— Maria

“Hotel California by The Eagles. And also Saturday Night by The Bay City Rollers.”

— my mom, Kathy

Be sure to check in next week to see the answers when I ask, “How can art change the world?” But for the time being, feel free to follow Q&A on Instagram, @queriesandaccolades, if you aren’t already.
